Fraternal Compagnia presents you the story of Daedalus and Icarus as told by the Nobel Prize-winning Dario Fo, translated into English and adapted for our modern age in celebration of the centennial of the Italian master’s birth. It presents the popular myth, not as the downfall of an arrogant and prideful youth – as he is so often portrayed – but rather as a cautionary tale against fleeing the world we live in, in favour of the comforts of fantasy. A heartfelt tragedy with a biting, sardonic twist to it.

Le théâtre les 50 accueille Fraternal Compagnia, qui vous présente le récit de Dédale et Icare, racontée par le prix Nobel Dario Fo, traduite en français et adaptée à notre époque moderne, pour célébrer le centenaire de la naissance du maître italien. Il relate le mythe populaire, non pas comme la chute d’un jeune plein d’arrogance et d’orgueil – comme il est si souvent dépeint – mais plutôt comme un récit édifiant contre la fuite du monde dans lequel nous vivons en faveur des conforts de la fantaisie. Une tragédie pleine de cœur, avec une tournure mordante et sardonique.
